Die Bilder, die Gegenwart und Vergangenheit verbinden, haben einen inneren Zusammenhang. Frühere proletarische Lebenswelten, verbunden durch Hoffnung, Aufbruch und Niedergang. Eine deutsche Geschichte eines halben Jahrhunderts, erzählt in zwei Bildern, die auf den ersten Blick nichts miteinander zu tun haben.
Was bleibt, ist ein Gefühl von närrischer Welt, die mit einem Bein über dem Abgrund tanzt und mit dem anderen Helau und Alaaf grölt und Luftschlangen wirft.
