Hungern oder Frieren. Aus einer Aktion 2022 vor dem Finanzministerium. Die Gießkanne stand symbolisch dafür, dass der Staat zur Bekämpfung von Armut nicht tröpfchenweise mit einer Gießkanne Almosen verteilen darf, sondern die Geschichte strukturell mit Hilfefonds etc. angehen muss. Die Gießkanne war Teil der Ausstellung anlässlich meiner LAK-Abschiedsfeier, in der zahlreiche Aktionen, Interventionen, Performances der letzten Jahrzehnte dokumentiert waren. Sorgfältig kuratiert und präsentiert von einem Team meines Nachfolgers. Ich war ziemlich gerührt.
Zum Hintergrund hier der gute HAZ-Artikel zur Aktion vom 09.08.2022.
Der Artikel ist vermutlich deshalb so qualitativ gelungen, weil der Autor Thomas Strünkelnberg bei der dpa arbeitet und die ist nun mal, neben dem DLF, der Goldstandard im hiesigen Journalismus.
Die hier abgebildete Situation wird immer schlimmer. Schon jetzt sind allein in Hannover mindestens drei Obdachlose, von denen wir das wissen, auf der Straße erfroren. Und noch ist der Winter fern. Wie viele gestorben sind auf den Straßen, in unbeheizten Wohnungen, in Unterkünften, geschwächt von schlechter Ernährung und mangelnder Versorgung, wissen wir nicht. Unlängst erreichte mich folgende Mail, die ich anonymisiere:
„Ihr Lieben,
mit Bestürzung musste ich heute die Nachricht zur Kenntnis nehmen, dass meine jahrzehntelange Freundin und unsere zeitweilige Mitstreiterin bei Gnadenlos Gerecht und in der Rojavasolidarität …. vor ca. 2 Wochen verstorben ist. Näheres weiß ich noch nicht. Ihre letzten Lebenswochen waren wohl von Krankheit/Krankenhausaufenthalten bestimmt.
Beisetzung und Erinnerungsgedenken werden wohl erst im Januar sein, ich soll Bescheid bekommen.
Ich bin sprachlos und erschüttert, bestätigt sich doch in jedem Menschen, der von uns geht und dessen materielle Lebensumstände wir kannten, dass Armut wohl eine der todbringendsten „Krankheiten“ ist.
…. war eine sehr politische Frau, die immer in erster Person agierte, immer unmittelbare, direkte Interessen artikulierte, sich nie in ideologischen Unwichtigkeiten verstricken lies und sicherlich eine der solidarischsten Menschen war, die ich kennenlernen durfte.

Abgesehen davon, dass das eine warmherzige und anteilnehmende Mail ist, geht es mir genauso. Einen Tag vorher war ich bei der Trauerfeier einer Uralt-Freundin gewesen, der ich seit Jahrzehnten verbunden war. Drei Tage vorher hatte ich die Botschaft erhalten, dass ein Mitglied, ein ebenso gebildeter wie prekär lebender Zeitgenosse, des „Hades“ im Sterben liegt. Der „Hades“, so sein WG-interner Spitzname, ist ein Imbiss im Haus meiner Homebase in Kreuzberg. Dort verkehren fast nur Menschen, die so deutlich jenseits der Normen der bürgerlichen Mitte unserer Gesellschaft agieren und teilweise auch leben, dass ich mitunter denke, das Setting im Hades ist eine Inszenierung, ein Film. Eine Fiktion, in der die Gesetze der Realität, des Lebens keinen Platz haben. Ist natürlich abgehobene Spinnerei, solche Gedanken. Ein absurder Gedanke, der mir beim Erhalt der Botschaft durch den Kopf ging: Der Tod macht selbst vor dem Hades nicht Halt.
Was insofern absurd ist als der Hades das Reich der Unterwelt ist.
