Eben habe ich die globalen und hiesigen Konflikte noch abgrundtief pessimistisch beurteilt. Mittlerweile sehe ich das bei Weitem nicht mehr so positiv.
Ich glaube nicht, dass es für die großen Konflikte gute, nachhaltige, konstruktive, friedliche, wie auch immer, Lösungen gibt. Nur die Wahl zwischen Scylla und Charybdis, Pest und Cholera. Sei es Nahost, Klimawandel, Spaltung der Gesellschaft. Offensichtlich konnten diese antagonistischen Konflikte ein paar Jahrzehnte mühsam mit etwas Wohlstand für Mittelschichten, Formelkompromissen, moderierter Kommunikation eingehegt werden. Aber irgendwann scheint dann doch das Ende der Geschichte gekommen, allerdings diametral anders, als Fukuyama das meinte. Nicht Friede, Freude Eierkuchen ist das Motto. Vielmehr fliegt uns jetzt der Dampfkessel, in dem diese giftigen, polynären Kampfstoffe vor sich hin köchelten, um die Ohren. Dass die Welt nach Trumps Bombenangriffen auf den Iran eine bessere geworden ist, glaubt vermutlich nur er selber. Wer weiß, wie die alten Männer des Todes, die Mullahs, in ihrer Agonie darauf reagieren. Andererseits muss man froh sein, dass deren atomwaffenfähiges Arsenal vermutlich erstmal vernichtet ist. Wie gesagt, Pest oder Cholera.
Wobei: Was wissen wir? Stand die Atombombe kurz bevor? Ein Jahr entfernt? Zwei? Konnte Israel es sich leisten, bei der Kalkulation einen Fehler zu machen? Und wer bin ich, hier an einem der sichersten Orte der Welt einen auf dicke Hose zu machen und mir den Kopf zu zerbrechen und harsche Urteile zu fällen über die existentiellen Nöte in anderen Regionen. Da steckt schon eine Menge westliche Altmänner-Arroganz dahinter. Wobei „wir“ – pluralis majestatis – uns von Kategorien wie „westlich“ schon lange verabschieden müssen. Was hat das mittelmäßig zivilisierte Mitteleuropa noch mit der langsam in die Barbarei driftenden USA zu tun, außer Coca Cola und Bruce Springsteen?
Sollten Sie, liebe zur Friedfertigkeit neigenden Leserinnen, sich mitunter an der Polemik und dem Zynismus hier im Blog stören, bedenken Sie bitte eines: Das Schlimme ist ja nicht meine radikale Polemik, sondern die radikale Realität, die schlimmer als jeder Zynismus ist.
