Eines meiner persönlichen Highlights in einem Jahr, das politisch vom weiteren Anwachsen des Faschismus und dem Zerfall der Demokratie nicht nur in unserem Land gekennzeichnet war. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an den Initiator und Organisator, meinen Nachfolger und Freund Fabian Steenken , an Aaron Leithäuser für tolle Fotos und Marie Schwarz für Layout.
Die Broschüre bietet den Hauch einer Nuance von der Spitze eines Eisberges meiner Kunstproduktion für die LAK und im Kontext des Kunstkollektivs SCHUPPEN 68 seit dem Krieg. Ich hab nur vergessen, welcher. Und wenn Sie, liebe Leserinnen, jetzt fragen, wieso dieses gottverdammte Genie aus der Broschüre noch nicht mit einer Einzelausstellung im New Yorker MoMa, in der Londoner Tate Modern, im Pariser Centre Pompidou oder wenigstens im Berliner Gropius Bau gewürdigt wurde, kann ich nur sagen: Weiß ich auch nicht und das ist eine echte Sauerei.
Apropos „liebe Leserinnen“: Ausnahmsweise ganz unironisch wünsche ich allen Leserinnen einen entspannten Start in ein vermutlich noch schrecklicher als 2024 werdendes 2025, alles erdenklich Gute, Gesundheit und viel Erfolg. Falls Sie allerdings Investmentbanker, Unternehmensberater, Waffenproduzent, Coronaschwurblerin, Antisemitin, AfDler etc. pp. sind, wünsche ich Ihnen keinen Erfolg, sondern Hals- und Beinbruch. Und mit diesem unfrommen Wunsch bin ich schon zumindest vom Wording her in der allgemeinen Militanz-Spirale gelandet, die nicht nur die öffentlichen Diskurse, sondern auch das öffentliche Verhalten kennzeichnet. Ganz offensichtlich herrschten zu Silvester kriegsähnliche Zustände auf unseren Straßen, 5 Tote, zig Verletzte, Attacken auf Feuerwehr und Polizei, ein Beitrag auf DLF aus der Berliner Silvesternacht hörte sich an wie Kanonendonner von der Front und Befragte aus der Provinz, die in dieses Geschehen hineingeraten waren, waren schwer verstört von diesen abnormen Verhalten. Ein Polizist musste nach einer Kugelbombenattacke notoperiert werden, in Schöneberg wurden nach der Explosion einer Kugelbombe die Fenster von sieben Wohnhäusern durch die Druckwelle zerstört, ebenso wie vier Autos. Ebenfalls zerbarsten die Scheiben einer Apotheke, die daraufhin laut Polizei von mehreren Personen teilweise geplündert wurde. 28 geparkte Autos gingen in Flammen auf usw. usf….
Ein Schelm, wer darin ein zu einem Knallmoment kulminiertes reales Abbild unserer gesellschaftlichen Entwicklung erkennt. Ich bin in Berlin immer gerne vor Ort auch jenseits meiner üblichen eher kulturell und subkulturell gewohnten Pfade, um gesellschaftlich andersgeartete Zustände zu erfahren, spüren, riechen. Sei es in Marzahn, Gropiusstadt, im Dong-Xuan-Center in Lichtenberg, auf der Neuköllner Sonnenallee, auf Weihnachtsmärkten etc. Aber Silvester in Berlin on the road? Nein Danke. Und wie kriege ich jetzt elegant die Kurve zum Positiven?
Am besten durch den Gropius Bau. Dort findet zur Zeit die beste Ausstellung statt, die ich nach dem Krieg, siehe oben, gesehen, besser: erlebt habe. Eine Einzelausstellung des indonesischen Künstlers Rikrit Tiravanija. Zitat: „Seit mehr als drei Jahrzehnten erweitert Rirkrit Tiravanija die Vorstellung davon, was in Ausstellungen möglich ist. Als Teil seiner Praxis schafft der Künstler Situationen, in denen gegessen und getrunken, gespielt und geruht werden kann. Dabei entstehen Räume für zufällige Begegnungen, soziale Beziehungen und deren Scheitern – kurz gesagt: für das Leben.“ Meine persönliche Bilanz dieser Ausstellung, aus der ich mit einem extrem breiten, fröhlichen Grinsen rauskam: Ein Tee, ein Mokka, eine köstliche Kokossuppe, ein vor Ort Siebgedrucktes T-Shirt und als absolutes Highlight ein Song auf mich von einer Band, die dort zur Ausstellung eine Bühne aufgebaut hat und im Dialog mit Zuschauerinnen Musik macht.
Das alles findet kostenlos an verschiedenen Stationen in dieser grandiosen Ausstellung statt, man muss nur ein bisschen auf die dortigen Akteur*innen zugehen, spannende Gespräche ergeben sich quasi von allein.
